Sensational Kids selected for Fahcsia's Better Start initiative

Eligible families can now access our services though Fahcsia's Better Start initiative
The Sensational Kids team are very happy to announce that we have been selected by Fahcsia as a service provider for the Better Start for Children with Disability initiative.
Like the Helping Children with Autism initiative, this is a funding package of $12,000 for children under 7 years old to be used for services such as Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Psychology.
In addition, new Medicare items are available for children under 15 years old.
Sight and hearing impairments, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome and Fragile X Syndrome are listed as the disabilities included in the Better Start initiative.
Families will be able to access the new Medicare items from 1 July 2011.
Parents or carers of eligible children will need to register their child for the Better Start initiative before they turn six in order to access the early intervention funding.
Carers Victoria will oversee the registration process for the Better Start initiative in Victoria
