Fran

Fran is an enthusiastic and motivated Speech Pathologist who brings more than 9 years experience to Sensational Kids. Since graduating, Fran has worked in a variety of settings with adults and children. Fran works collaboratively with the team at Sensational Kids using the DIR-Floortime model of therapy combined with integrated knowledge about sensory integration and psychology.

Fran gets great joy out of seeing a child do something for the first time, watching their progress in therapy and in trying to find the 'keys' that will help each child she works with develop into happy, connected, communicative little beings. Fran also works intensively with parents to help them become partners in their child's therapy and to help them recognise and identify small steps in their child's progress.

Alyssa

Alyssa is an enthusiastic and skilled Speech Pathologist. She is a great asset to the Sensational Kids team. She completed her four year Undergraduate degree at La Trobe University, Bundoora, at the end of 2005.

Alyssa is experienced in working with children with a range of communication difficulties and their families, following three years experience in a private paediatric practice in Gippsland. She is keen to be back in the "big smoke" and is excited to be continuing her work with pre-school and school age children.

Alyssa's main passions include early intervention, and working as a team with parents and other family members. She has seen the huge benefits that intervention can have with children aged 2 to 5 years and knows that parents and caregivers play the biggest role in making a difference in their child's life.

Alyssa has a significant amount of experience and knowledge regarding Autism, language delay, speech disorders including dyspraxia, and early communication skills.
