Art Therapists help kids express themselves when verbal communication may be challenging.  Art therapy can include dance, visual arts and other creative mediums.

WHAT IS AN ART THERPIST?

Art therapists are allied health professionals who have completed their degree and post gradutate studies with a focus on art as a medium for therapy.  Art therapists work across many settings including hospitals, community health services and private practice.  Art therapists are skilled in a wide range of developmental therapies and are approved as service providers under the NDIS. DO I NEED A REFERRAL?

No referral is needed to see an art therapist. Simply contact our admin team to make an appointment.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS DO YOUR COUNSELLORS HAVE?
All of our art therapists are registered with their professional body and have completed a postgraduate art therapy qualification.

WHAT FUNDING OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE FOR ART THERAPY SESSIONS?
You are able to utilise NDIS funding under the CB Daily Living registration category for art therapy services. Some private health funds may also provide rebates for art therapy sessions so please check with your provider to determine eligibility. Medicare does not currently fund art therapy sessions.
