Jay is a registered Creative Arts Therapist, earning their master’s degree in art therapy from MIECAT (Melbourne Institute of Experiential Creative Art Therapies). Their journey began in the world of Performing Arts, where they excelled as a professional dancer before transitioning into the therapeutic field. Jay is deeply passionate about creating a safe and nurturing space for individuals to explore their inner selves.

Jay’s therapeutic approach is rooted in utilizing a diverse range of modalities, including dance, play, drama, singing, creative writing, painting, drawing, and many more. They adeptly weave clients’ interests and passions into the therapeutic process, enabling self-awareness through creative expression. Embracing a person-centered, strengths-based approach, Jay strives to foster emotional well-being within their clients.

Jay’s experience with the LGBTQIA+ community adds a unique dimension to their practice, enabling them to provide inclusive and empathetic support to individuals from diverse backgrounds. Driven by their passion for empowering others, Jay’s work revolves around creating an environment that promotes emotional well-being and personal growth in their clients. With a vision to become a dance therapist in the future, Jay endeavors to merge their love for dance with their expertise in therapy, making a positive impact on the lives of those they work with.
